THIEVES got away with £2,600 cigarettes after stealing them from a lorry parked up in a layby.
Cumbria Police have only just released details of the incident which occurred on Monday June 23rd.
Officers said the driver of a delivery lorry had parked up on a layby on the A590 just outside Dalton-in-Furness.
When the driver went to make the delivery, he noticed the cigarettes missing, said police.
No other details were released.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 2260 at Barrow Police Station.
