BOATS were adrift in Windermere this morning (July 19) in an act of ‘potential vandalism’, say Liverpool Coastguard.

Lake District National Park’s Windermere Lake Wardens were called out at 7.20am to a report of two boats adrift in Windermere.

The Lake Wardens along with two members of Arnside Coast Guard Rescue Team located the boats which had come adrift from Belle Island, Windermere.
