PATTERDALE Mountain Rescue Team attended the fourth ankle injury in four days yesterday (July 20).
The team were called out at 6.20pm to assist a 17-year-old girl, from Mansfield, who had injured her ankle while descending The Knott, at Hayeswater Dam.
The girl was treated and then stretchered to one of the team’s waiting Land Rover ambulances before being taken to the rescue base for onward transfer to hospital.
This followed three other separate incidents involving ankle injuries that the team were called out to on July 17 which turned into a 7.5 hour operation.
