'Face' of Astute class, Anson, submarine being transported through Barrow
MOTORISTS are being warned that there could be minor disruption as a submarine is moved tomorrow (July 22).
BAE Systems is due to transport a section of submarine along Bridge Road, Barrow-in-Furness.
A rear section of the fifth Astute class submarine, Anson, will be moved from the New Assembly Shop on Bridge Road to the Devonshire Dock Hall gate on North Road at around 2.15pm.
The movement is due to last around 15 minutes.
There will be no disruption to parking in the area however there may be minor disruption to traffic travelling along Bridge Road for a short time.
