AN INNOVATIVE approach to hotel inspections, travel reviews and tourism is coming to the Lake District – with children as the judges.
English Lakes Hotels Resorts and Venues has launched its own junior travellers review with the appointment of two hotel inspectors – Charlie and Alfie Lemm.
The brothers, aged nine and four, are planning trips and adventures around Cumbria over the coming months, and as well as reviewing each 4-star establishment run by the group, the boys will check out many of the local attractions across the area.

Many of the young hotel inspectors’ comments will be used as feedback to improve children’s experiences at the English Lakes venues, as well as featuring in a regular blog.
Charlie and Alfie are the sons of Andy Lemm, general manager of The Wild Boar, Crook.
“We thought it would be a great idea to get youngsters’ perspectives on what we have to offer and how they see our hotels,” said Andy.
