Ladbrokes are offering 5/2 odds on Dales businessman Robin Scott succeeding William Hague as MP for the Richmond constituency.
The 30-year-old confirmed plans to put himself forward to the Richmond Conservative Association for selection.
Mr Hague is to stand down at the next general election.
