VIKING STRIFE: Warring Vikings ‘invaded’ a South Lakeland village at the weekend – drawing big crowds over two days to see what life was like in an ancient settlement.
The invaders were at the Heron Corn Mill, Beetham, where there were timed combat performances, weaponry displays and object talks.
Creative projects manager Audrey Steeley said: “It was fantastic, and the weather helped. We have a kids club every Saturday and they got involved in fights with the Vikings.”
