THOUSANDS of pounds of tools have been stolen from an 'isolated building' close to Kirkby Lonsdale.

Police are appealing for information after £7,000 of tools, including drills and hammers, were stolen from the premises in Middleton sometime over the weekend.

The theft occurred at a property which is currently under renovation and is believed to have occurred between Saturday lunchtime and Monday morning.

It was reported to Cumbria Police on Monday morning, once the theft had been discovered.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Rowlinson at Kendal on 101.
