First Grange Brownies marked the centenary of the Guide movement by drinking a cup of tea in an unusual place – in the middle of Morecambe Bay.

They completed the final task of their Big Birthday Challenge with the help of Flookburgh-based Bay Search and Rescue team.

“When we planned the challenges we were going to do, the tea drinking really grabbed them,” said leader Katie Hodgson.

“Bay Search and Rescue were fantastic and couldn't have been more obliging, and the girls thought it was an awesome trip!”
