WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron officially opened nearly 50 new ‘affordable’ homes in Kendal .
They are part of a development from Russell Armer Homes at Cragg Close, off Rydal Road, Sandylands.
There are 14 one or two bedroom flats for rent, 23 shared equity two or three bedroom houses, eight rental houses and two rental bungalows.
Two bed houses are available for £95,000 and the three beds cost £110,000 for an 80 per cent share of the equity.

Meanwhile, the three and four bedroom homes on the open market have just been released with prices from £199,950 – and the first four were bought within hours of going on the market.
Mr Farron said: “It was great to formally open Cragg Close.
“This is a fantastic development, offering much needed housing for local people and we need many more like these. We must keep working and campaigning to make sure every family has a decent home to live in.”
