STUDENTS from Kendal’s Castle Park Primary School have won an award for a video that looks at ways of improving the lives of girls and women in developing countries.
The video starred in the Department for International Development’s annual Shape the Future competition.
International Development Secretary Justine Greening said: “Young people are the change-makers of tomorrow and Castle Park’s entry shows that they want to be part of the solution for a better future.”
Castle Park teacher Helen Thwaites said: “Our pupils worked very hard on their entry and learned a lot about global development and life for young people living in poverty.”
