The Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria, Claire Hensman, unveiled a Diamond Jubilee memorial stone on Bowness promenade.
The project was undertaken by the Rotary Club of Windermere under the direction of club member Jim Morphet.
It included the refurbishment of the curved seat on the promenade and the installation of a stone memorial which marks the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
