A PENSIONER had to be rescued from a Lake District fell after he became exhausted.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out at 2.12pm on Monday (August 4) after the 80-year-old man became unable to walk down from Skiddaw, Jenkin Hill, below the Little Man.
Two Landrovers and ten team members accessed the route via the Gale Road car park before assessing the man and stretchering him to a waiting road ambulance.
He was transported to hospital in Keswick for further treatment.
