A NEW five-mile cycling trail through the Langdale Valley has been officially opened.
Virtually all off-road, the trail opens the route between Elterwater and Dungeon Ghyll without cyclists needing a mountain bike or having to rie3 on the road.
The route is supported by the £6.9 million GoLakes Travel Programme being delivered by Cumbria County Council, the Lake Ditsrict National Park Authority and Cumbria Tourism, funded primarily through the Department for Transport.
