POLICE are investigating an attempted shoplifting incident at Boots on Market Street, Ulverston.
At 10am on August 9 a man described as white, of heavy build and wearing a large jacket, baseball cap and dark T-shirt entered the store and removed items from the display.
He then put the items back after being approached by a member of the public.
Police believe the man was also wearing gloves despite it being a ‘very hot day'.
