Lakeland tradition at its fintest will be on show at the Patterdale Dog Day on Saturday – with sheepdog trials, a hound show and much more all centred around man’s best friend
Described by organisers as ‘one of the few remaining genuinely traditional shows’, Patterdale Dog Day will return on Saturday to the village’s King George V Playing Field on Saturday.
The show field has a spectacular backdrop of some of the most beautiful Lakeland fells.
As well as the dog trials, attractions include a terrier show, open gundog show, childrens’ pets class, show of traditional sticks and crooks, foxhound show, fell races, hound trials, craft tent, trade stands and Matterdale sheep show.
