AN isolated telephone repeater station is to be sold at auction next month.
Auctioneers believe the single-storey brick building in a rectangular shaped compound on the A6 between Kendal and Shap will receive a ‘high level of interest’.

It was formerly used as a telephone repeater station by BT and is being sold on behalf of Telereal Trillium – just one of a number of stations being auctioned off across the UK by Pugh & Co.
Director and auctioneer Paul Thompson said “We’ve seen some fantastic sales results for TRS properties over the years and they have become highly sought after.
“Often these properties are in rural locations with good access links, they come with the freedom of alternative uses and generally with development potential so it’s understandable to see why they generate so much interest amongst bidders.”
The Gateside station will be entered into Pugh & Co’s Manchester auction taking place at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday September 11.
