FLOOKBURGH -based Bay Search and Rescue Team has received £5,000 to fund flood rescue training in Cumbria and Lancashire from the Santander Foundation.
The grant will enable more of the team to be trained to respond during local incidents and also across the whole of the UK in times of flooding.
It will include boat operator training and rescue from vehicles in moving water alongside the regular swift water rescue training.
