SHOPKEEPERS in Kirkby Lonsdale are being offered £100 in prizes to dress their windows, and their staff, in Edwardian style for the town's first Edwardian Weekend, from Friday to Sunday, September 5 to 7.
The money is being put up by Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council chairman Allan Muirhead who said: “We want this inaugural weekend to be a real success and I hope the shopkeepers will help to create the right atmosphere.'
"The best efforts will be selected by the town's Rector, the Rev Richard Snow.”
