A 90-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to hospital after a one vehicle collision on the M6 southbound yesterday (Sunday).
Firefighters were called at 2pm to the incident, between junctions 40 and 39, and worked with paramedics to free the man who was trapped inside the vehicle.
He was one of five passengers in the Renault Megane, which was driven by a 49-year-old woman.
