A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after coming off his bike at High Bowkerstead, Satterthwaite, on Sunday.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team helped evacuate the man, who suffered a suspected fracture to his lower leg.
The Paramedics on scene treated the casualty with pain relief before splinting his leg. Coniston MRT members then stretchered him 400 metres to the waiting ambulance which took him to hospital.
