EMERGENCY services are currently dealing with a two vehicle collision on the A590 at Gilpin Bridge near Levens.
A police spokesman said that one of the vehicles was on its roof and a man aged around 35 is trapped in the vehicle. He is said to be conscious.

The two vehicles involved are a Peugeot 308 and a Volkswagen Touran Sport.
Police said the accident happened shortly after 8am. Police, fire and ambulance are attending.
The road has been closed. All motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes. Diversions have been put in place at Brettargh Holt roundabout and Newby Bridge.
