SOUTH Lakeland District Council has issued a warning about the early closure of its car parks on Friday.
The council said: ‘Drivers are being warned that the gates to the South Lakeland District Council car parks at Westmorland Shopping Centre and South Lakeland House in Kendal will be closing early this Friday (12 September), due to road closures in the town centre for the Torchlight Carnival.
"Entry to both car parks will be closed at 6pm and the exit gates will be locked at 6.30pm."
