THE BBC has confirmed it will be returning to Leighton Moss for filming in just over five weeks time.
A spokesperson for BBC Springwatch has announced on Facebook this weekend that Autumnwatch will return to the RSPB centre for four days in October.
"We are excited to confirm that Autumnwatch is returning to RSPB Leighton Moss on the wild Lancastrian Coast in just over five weeks time," they said.
They will be on site between October 28 and 31 when they will be broadcasting live on BBC2 at 8pm, followed by Unsprung on BBC2 on Friday, October 31.
Autumnwatch Extra, online and on Red Button, will be live from the hide throughout the day.
The show will be broadcasting from Leighton Moss for the second year in a row.
Last year the visitor centre numbers 'greatly increased' after the show was broadcast.
Jacqui Fereday, visitor services manager, said at the time: “We’ve had more than double the number of visitors we would normally expect in October half-term.”
The series showcased the best of the area’s wildlife including red deer activity and stunning starling murmurations.
