AIR ambulance crews fought to save a man's life after a horrific road traffic accident.
At 14:25 on Saturday, August 20, a Great North Air Ambulance team was called to the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and a car on Brampton Road, North Cumbria.
They anaesthetized a male at the scene and treated him for multiple injuries to his leg, arm, pelvis, chest and abdomen.
The injured man, said to be between 30 and 40 years old, was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, where he remains in a critical and life threatening condition.
