Cat dies after being caught in snare in South Lakes village
A CAT has died after being caught in a snare in Coniston.
Members of the Ulverston and Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for information about the incident, which occurred sometime between September 14 and 16.
The snare was found in the garden of the village's Thwaite Cottage.
It has been removed by Cumbria police.
Anybody with information is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
