PLANS for a home extension and garden room have been branded ‘horrendous’ by planners who rejected them on the grounds of size, scale and appearance.
The planning application for a single-storey extension and large shed at a house on Walthwaite, at Chapel Stile, near Ambleside, was rejected at a meeting of the Lake District National Park Authority’s (LDNPA) planning committee.
“I think it’s horrendous quite frankly,” said Coun Norman Clarkson.
