A SOUTH Lakes holiday park has appeared on a primetime TV show which aired on Saturday night to almost four million viewers.

Fallbarrow Park took centre stage when Through the Keyhole was broadcast on ITV, taking a tour of a holiday lodge belonging to Dragon's Den star and entrepreneur, Duncan Bannatyne.

The show was presented by the Keith Lemon, who also hosts Celebrity Juice, who visited the park with a TV crew in June, this year.

As well as filming and having lunch at the holiday site, the crew spent part of the afternoon on Mr Bannatyne’s boat on Windermere.

A spokeswoman for the holiday park said the programme showcased 'some of the best Lake District scenery to viewers'.

Mr Bannatyne, who lives in the North East, bought the lodge earlier this year.

He said at the time: “If you’ve got young kids, it’s a fantastic life, so I’d always encourage anyone to do it.

"I can just jump in the car and go, without having to pack everything all the time. Bowness is absolutely my favourite place in the Lakes – from years ago – it has a special place in my heart.”

While filming, Keith took time out to pose for photographs with holidaymakers on the park - and created excitement amongst a number of people on the water.

"Some fans even went as far as asking the presenter if they could have his yellow shoes," said the park spokeswoman.

The show, which aired to 3.78m viewers, is currently available on ITV Player.
