FUNDS for Trees trustee Russell Ball, who is cycling from Land’s End to John O’ Groats, stopped off at Stramongate School, in Kendal, last Friday afternoon.
Mr Ball spent time talking to pupils about the importance of trees to the environment as well as planting a special tree in the school grounds. Youngsters, Alfie Siverson and Ivan Harby, both seven-years-old, helped Mr Ball with the planting.
