WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron will miss his constituency surgery tomorrow (Friday) because of the recall of Parliament to debate Britain joining military action against ISIL in Iraq.

The surgery at the Castle Street Centre from 10am to 11am will still go ahead with a senior councillor and a member of Mr Farron's staff.

The MP's next surgery will be on Tuesday (September 30) at the Victoria Hall, Grange-Over-Sands from 4pm-5pm. No appointment is needed to attend..

Alternatively local residents can call Mr Farron's office on 01539-723403 or email him at tim@timfarron.co.uk

He said: “I try to hold regular advice surgeries to make sure I am accessible and available for local people to discuss any issue. But because of the urgent recall of Parliament I will obviously not be present on Friday.

“The advice surgery will go ahead, just without me. My staff will be able to help residents with any issue they have. But if people wish to speak to me face to face, I have organised another surgery for next Tuesday in Grange.

“As always if I can help with any issue, either big or small, please do get in touch. I’m here to help.”
