A WOMAN was assaulted by a man who forced his way into her car in Windermere.
The victim was parked outside Flames takeaway on Main Street, Windermere, at 8:50pm on Thursday, September 26, when the attacker got into her car, grabbed her face and pushed it against the window before demanding that she drive him to Ambleside.
The terrified woman managed to escape and run away as the mystery attacker ran down an alley.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information as the attacker remains at large.
He is described as being of Eastern European origin, of medium build, roughly 30 years old with dark hair.
Anybody with information should contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC 2012 Henley.
