FURNESS MP John Woodcock is getting back on his bike to meet voters in front rooms across Furness.

The 'Your Manifesto' bike ride will see Mr Woodcock pedalling between meetings organised by local communities themselves to decide priorities for local improvements.

Last year, the MP completed an 80-mile, Talk-To-Your-MP bike ride which made 35 short stops over four days, mainly addressing residents’ individual concerns.

This time, Mr Woodcock wants to bring communities together to decide on action plans for change.

He has asked residents to host the events and bring along their neighbours so he can hear what matters to local people across the area ahead of next year's general election.

The MP said: "I have bought a new bike and cut down on the pies in the hope I can get round the route OK - I just hope people don't mind me turning up in Lycra."
