SIX James Cropper employees with nearly 250 years of service between them have been honoured for their dedication to the Burneside mill.

The long-serving sextet attended a celebratory lunch at Carus Green Golf Club to mark their momentous achievement.

Machine operator Ian Davis, production manager Terry Morgan, truck driver Chris Rodway, cutter assistant Geoff Shepherd, pallet maker Dave Watson and support analyst Helena Weiss were each honoured for 40 years’ service.

They received a set of four Mardale Claret Goblets, handmade and engraved by Cumbria Crystal.

The loyal workers were joined by James Cropper plc honorary president, Sir James Cropper, chairman Mark Cropper and chief executive officer Phil Wild.
