THE Rotary Club of Lunesdale entertained 19 children - 11 girls and eight boys - and their two interpreters from Belarus.
One of their first visits was to Clapham from where they enjoyed a walk to Ingleborough Cave.
They were met at the entrance by cave manager Bob Jarman. The children enjoyed an ice cream before experiencing the mysteries of the underground cave including the stalagmites and stalactites.
“The children loved it and the oohs and aahs resonated around us and bounced off the walls,” said Rotary Club spokeswoman Lillian Barton.
After the cave visit the youngsters tucked into sausage, mash and peas at the Bunk Barn
They then travelled back to the Lunesdale Hall at Kirkby Lonsdale where the children were entertained by a magician.
