A mum-of-five whose New Year resolution was to run 100 miles for a breast cancer charity is closing-in on her goal.
Aimee Goodings, from Askham, only took up running two years ago but decided to channel her hobby towards a good cause.
Since the start of the year she has been totting up the miles and following her completion of the Great North Run in a time of two hours 35 minutes she is now just 20 miles off her 100 mile target.
So far she has raised more than £400 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation in support of her grandmother who was recently diagnosed with mouth cancer.
Her marathon effort has bridged the generations as her grandmother, Iris, and her young children have become her biggest fans.
