FURNESS Riding for the Disabled Association got a welcome boost thanks to an annual sponsored ride on the Holker Estate.
The event raised more than £3,500 to help fund weekly sessions for disabled young people at Seaview Riding School on Walney Island.
Among the 74 riders taking part were members of Furness Pony Club, who won the prize for most sponsorship raised.
June Chapman, who chairs Furness RDA, thanked Lord and Lady Cavendish of Holker Hall for supporting the event, Furness Building Society for sponsorship; and all the volunteers who helped stage the ride.
