VILLAGERS are stepping back in time as they bring their forefathers’ wartime experiences to life on stage.
Actors from Holme Drama Group and the Brewery Youth Theatre, together with first-time performers and youngsters from Holme Community School, are among the cast of The Holme Front 1914-1918.
Written by Holme historian Geoff Pegg, it is based on village life up to and including the First World War.
It draws on extensive historical research by Geoff, who was head of drama at Kendal’s Queen Katherine School.
Director Lynne Gibbons said there was “a real community feel” to the production.
For tickets for the performances on November 14 and 15, visit Holme Post Office or call Lynne on 01524-781564.
