A POEM about churning butter by Jane Dunn, of Sedbergh, was highly commended in a prestigious poetry competition.
This year's Bridport Prize attracted entries from 15,000 writers, including retired clinical psychologist Jane, who has been writing poetry for six years.
Her poem 'The Maker' draws parallels between churning butter and writing poetry with its "miraculous, mysterious and all-of-a-sudden coming-into-being".
