A MAN from Liverpool had admitted spending fake banknotes in South Cumbria.
At Carlisle Crown Court 20-year-old Carl Keighley pleaded guilty to passing a counterfeit Scottish £20 note in Ulverston and Witherslack – both on April 12. He also admitted tendering a similar note in Ulverston on the same day.
Keighley, of Turnstone Drive, Liverpool, was remanded on bail for probation reports and will be sentenced on November 28.
