Kirkby Lonsdale parking machines 'useless' after being sprayed with expanding foam
PARKING machines in Kirkby Lonsdale have been rendered 'useless' after being vandalised with expanding foam, say police.
Cumbria Police are investigating the damage to six machines which had expanding foam sprayed into the coin slot over night between October 27 and 28.
The machines targeted were in Marley Square, New Road 1 and 2, and Booths' car parks.
A spokesperson for South Lakeland District Council said a contractor had been dispatched to the town and it is hoped they will be fixed and up and running by tomorrow.
