A GREEN scheme to help South Lakeland residents recycle their food waste has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
The project, which enables people in the district to buy cut-price food waste digesters through South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) and being delivered in partnership with Cumbria County Council, has been nominated for the EPIC Media Communications Campaign honour at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) Awards to be held at London’s Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel on November 6.
