THE Environment Agency has joined the online communications system Cumbria Community Messaging (CCM) to warn more people in Cumbria about flooding.
Organisations already on CCM include Cumbria Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Trading Standards, County Council Emergency Planning, Community Safety Partnerships, Police and Crime Commissioner, together with Neighbourhood Watch and Age UK South Lakeland.
The Environment Agency has joined CCM as part of their national flood action campaign to give more people early warnings about flood events.
