THE FAMILY of a man who died following a road traffic collision on the A592 at Newby Bridge have paid tribute to a 'kind and loving person'.
George Tranter, 67, of Barrow-in-Furness was pronounced dead at the scene when his BMW X5 collided with a wall at 12:53pm on Saturday, November 15.
Mr Tranter's family released a statement which said: “June, Sarah, Emma, Rob and family would like to thank the many people who worked so hard to assist George at the site and to the family and friends for their overwhelming support and love.
"George was a kind, considerate and loving person to everyone who knew him and will be missed greatly by many.”
Anyone with information into the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
