A WALKER was hospitalised after being stretchered from a Lake District fell in the dark.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called at around 3.10pm to a man who was suffering from an ankle injury at Blueberry Knott, south of Patterdale.
The 12 strong team got to the casualty within an hour on Sunday (November 23) and he was assessed by the team doctor before being stretchered by torchlight down to Deepdale.
From there the man was transferred to an ambulance and taken to the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
