AN EVENT organised to help business owners learn how education providers can help them grow has been described as a ‘great success’.
South Lakeland District Council’s economic development team hosted the ‘business skills for growth – Higher Education special’ at Cartmel Racecourse.
Speakers representing key Higher Education providers, Lancaster University, Kendal College, Furness College, University of Central Lancashire, and University of Cumbria were all in attendance.
Cllr Giles Archibald, SLDC portfolio holder for Town Centres and Small Business, said: “The event was a great success and it was good to see so many delegates attending. It is important for local business to know how higher education providers can support and help their growth."
