TWO South Lakeland primary schools and a brownie group - Crosscrake CE School, Stainton, Selside CofE Primary School in Selside and St George’s Brownie Group, Kendal - have been presented with high visibility jackets from Specsavers in Kendal. Store director Melanie Scowcroft said: "At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with the winter weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians, and dusk is particularly hazardous when the children are walking home from school and evening activity groups."
