WINDERMERE Golf club has trialled an exciting new form of entertainment, by hosting a production by Manchester based theatre company, The Rocket Theatre.
Performing one of Oscar Wilde’s most popular plays, ‘Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime’, members and non-members were treated to the black comedy, held last week in the clubhouse.
It IS the first time that the club has hosted a theatrical production, but as Chairman Cliff Heath explains the move is all part of Windermere Golf Club’s proactive strategy to attract new faces and highlight their clubhouse facilities.
“The play was a tremendous success, with both members and non-members thoroughly enjoying the performance.” said Cliff. “It’s great to be able to offer something a bit different here at the club and with such an enthusiastic audience, we will definitely be continuing to offer original entertainment. We would also like to thank The Rocket Theatre Company, who performed one of Oscar Wilde’s most hilarious comedies, so brilliantly!”
