THE Furness Building Society has handed over a donation of £27,444 to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation to pay for a new piece of ground-breaking equipment used to diagnose lung cancer. The new equipment has been installed at the Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire and South Cumbria’s regional lung cancer treatment centre. The hospital is the first in the country – private or NHS – to benefit from it.
