THE Gateway Inn off Kendal's Plumgarths roundabout is set to create seven new hospitality jobs as it gets ready to open its doors in February after a landmark £450,000 investment.
The venture, which has been jointly-funded by leading Lancashire brewer Daniel Thwaites and licensees Garry Smith and John Welch, saw The Gateway temporarily close in November in order to facilitate the major renovations works.
The new-look pub, which will incorporate an eight-bedroom hotel, is now seeking chefs, supervisors, front-of-house representatives and bar staff.
Mr Smith, who has worked in the hospitality industry for 18 years, said: “Just six weeks into the renovations and we can already see just how stunning The Gateway Inn is going to be."
Anyone interested in working at the inn should request an application pack from Mr Smith on 07785 624420 or email gatewayinn@ncinns.co.uk.
