THOUSANDS of people in Cumbria who suffer from headaches are now being urged to join a forum to help improve the way they are treated.
Professionals and patients alike are being called on to attend a day of feedback, which has been set up to try and help more than 10,000 people across the county who suffer neurological conditions, including migraines.
"I am passionate about improving services for headaches for the people of Cumbria," said Dr Jitka Vanderpol, a Cumbria consultant who has a special interest in headaches.
"I know the work that my team does already makes a difference and I want to build on this using expertise from other professionals and hear from our patients."
The Cumbria Partnership NHS Trust is running the open forum, which will be held at the Upfront Gallery at Hutton-in-the-Forest near Penrith on January 15 between 2 and 4pm.
It will provide those in attendance the opportunity to discuss current care available and gaps in service, as well as help design better care for patients.
